Aldo Leopold Festival | June 1–4
Les Cheneaux welcomes you to celebrate the legacy of Aldo Leopold—one of America’s most influential naturalists—during a weekend-long festival. Activities include paddling excursions, an award-winning documentary showing, orchid and wildflower tours, birding trips, community picnic, triathlon, geology talk and limestone quarry tour, fly fishing demonstration and many other Leopold-related activities. Come experience the woods and water that formed Leopold’s early impressions of the natural world and honor the mark he made on conservation and the environment.

Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike | June 1–8
Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike is a comedy play revolving around the relationships of three siblings. Old Town Playhouse Studio Theatre @ the Depot. Tickets available on MyNorthTickets.com.

Petoskey Summer Open House | June 2
Pennsylvania Park will come alive with a Drink Tent supporting the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society, the Taste of Downtown starring Petoskey’s finest restaurants and specialty food stores, live entertainment including the Petoskey Steel Drum Band, movies in the park at dark, a ghost walk and more! The intersection of Lake and Howard streets will become a runway for the Summer Open House Fashion Show, premiering all of the hottest summer styles from the downtown shops.

Harbor Springs Cycling Classic | June 3
New this year, a paved trail route that includes the Little Traverse Wheelway with distances of 14–30 miles.

TART Trails Smart Commute Week | June 5–9
TART Trails Smart Commute Week is an annual celebration held during the first week of June. The week consists of events that promote cycling, walking, taking the bus and carpooling. Free daily breakfasts are hosted at various locations around town for smart commuters. Every year community members challenge each other to a friendly competition known as the Smart Commute Week Challenge. Registration is FREE! In conjunction with the Recycle-A-Bicycle Bike Swap June 3 at the Old Town Parking Deck.

“101 Things that Happened on the Mackinac Bridge” | June 6
