Pellston’s Summer Fest | June 9–11
This weekend event features a variety of musical acts, an art show, car show, activities for children and families, craft beer competition, rib and chili cook-off and the Taste of the Northwest.

Leland Wine & Food Festival | June 10
Celebrate fantastic local wine and food culture at the 32nd Leland Wine & Food Festival. Twelve Leelanau wineries, one brewery and eight food vendors along with non-stop live music featuring The Hidden Agenda Band. Wine Fest re-entry wristbands allow you to come and go anytime during the festival, noon–6 p.m. at the Leland Harbor. Tickets available at MyNorthTickets.com.

The M22 Challenge | June 10
This unique run-bike-paddle event is held in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Recognized as “The Most Beautiful Place in America,” the overwhelming beauty of the race course and the camaraderie of fellow racers will make this event one you won’t forget!

Valentino in “The Son of the Sheik” | June 10
Valentino’s final film, considered by many critics his best. He plays the son of the Sheik who falls in love with the wrong woman and finds himself held for ransom by a den of Moorish thieves. Experience Art Rapids! | June 10–24 
A 15-day art competition and exhibition actively supporting the arts in Elk Rapids.

Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra presents Americana Plus | June 11

Guest Chefs at The Cooks’ House | June 12

Copper Enamel Jewelry Class | June 13 
Discover the beautiful art of copper enameling. In this workshop at Oliver Art Center, fuse colorful powdered glass to copper. Workshop participants will have the option of creating 1) two pairs of earrings or 2) a pair of earrings and a pendant 3) two pendants.

THE GREAT GIVEAWAY | June 14
Once again, First Congregational Church will fill a 30’ x 90’ tent with furniture, kitchen/household/decor items, small appliances, sporting goods, and lawn and garden items. As always, all items are free to those who need them! 6:30–8:30 p.m.

Annual Taste of Mackinac | June 15

Black & White Masquerade Gala | June 15

Art in Transit Project | Through June 25
The Traverse City Art Network and BATA are excited to collaborate on a project which focuses entirely on what TCAN is devoted to—creative ways to enliven our community through art and draw attention to the talented visual artists in our region. They need the community’s support to get the “ART IN TRANSIT PROJECT” moving (literally). Two talented local artists have been nominated to showcase their work on each side of a downtown Bata bus, and one artist’s work will grace a downtown bus shelter. Vote, donate and learn more at traversecityart.org.
