Quota International of Traverse City in partnership with Safe Kids North Shore and Grand Traverse Metro Fire and Life Safety are committed to making sure all children and their families are safe this year. Their popular Trivia Night FUNdraiser will be held the first Saturday in November to raise funds to purchase smoke alarms and child safety seats for those in need. Join volunteers on Saturday, November 4 for the fourth annual Quota Trivia Night at VFW Post 2780 (3400 Veterans Drive, Traverse City) to raise funds for this special partnership.

Twice each year, Grand Traverse Metro sends representatives out into the community on a door-to-door canvas, asking residents if they have properly installed smoke alarms. If the answer is no, a new smoke alarm is installed in their home free of charge. Safe Kids North Shore provides child safety seats for those who find themselves in need of a seat in order to provide safe transport for a child in a vehicle. These services come with a cost. Quota International of Traverse City is committed to helping defray those costs.

“Our club is currently committed to providing a minimum of $1,600 a year to help with the purchase of smoke alarms and child safety seats. We know the need is much greater than that, but the only way we can do more is by reaching out to the community through a fundraiser such as our Trivia Night,” says Lisa Kent, Club President of Quota International of Traverse City. “It would be wonderful to double or triple the amount our club has committed to donating.”

Trivia Night FUNdraiser is fun for friends and families to come together to test their trivia skills. Teams of eight will work together to answer questions based on a variety of themes such as music, movies, TV shows and sports. Prizes will be awarded after each round of play and an overall grand prize will be awarded to the top scoring team at the end of the evening. Tickets are $30 per person or $225 per team/table if purchased in advance. At the door, tickets will cost $35 per person or $250 per team/table. This year, when you purchase your ticket to the event, you will also be provided with dinner! Your entry fee includes a pizza buffet, salad, dessert and your first beverage of the evening. You may bring your own beverages and snacks if you desire. Teams should not include anyone under the age of 13.

Sign your team up early! Reservations will be taken through Friday, November 3. Want to support this great event beyond forming a team? Sponsorship opportunities are available.
