Action Water Sports of Traverse City recently finalized plans to build a new 12,000-square-foot facility alongside US-31 next to VanDrie Home Furnishings.
The new location will reflect the Action Water Sports mission of bringing families together on the water, maintaining top dealership recognition, and keeping up with business growth.
“The new building and business growth could not have been possible without our outstanding customers and staff,” says Jerry Timmer, general manager. “We believe boating brings families together and provides an experience unlike any other. Our new building will allow us to continue delivering uncommon service to our customers.”
The new building, overseen by Hallmark Construction, will replace the old location located at 988 W. Commerce Dr. The new location will create room for more jobs and office space. With year-over-year growth, additional storage, service bays, and showroom space are needed.
The new building will bring:
- New service area complete with six additional bays
- Expanded showroom with additional space for boats and pro-shop accessories
- Five state-of-the-art indoor storage facilities
Action Water Sports has three Michigan locations in Hudsonville, Fenton, and Traverse City. They partner with top marine manufacturers Cobalt, MasterCraft, and Four Winns boats. They are recognized as a top three dealer in the nation for MasterCraft boats, voted the 2017 Marine Dealer of the Year by the Water Sports Industry A, and voted by Boating Industry as a Top 100 Dealer in the nation for 15 consecutive years.
