What do Billy Strings, the Nutcracker Ballet and the MET Opera Live in HD have in common? They can all be seen at the Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts in downtown Manistee—just some of the nationally-renowned shows in the fall lineup.

The Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts (RRCA) is a nonprofit organization that manages and operates the historic 1903 Ramsdell Theatre owned by the City of Manistee. This fall, the RRCA lineup includes productions by the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company, Nutcracker Ballet, MET Opera Live in HD and a new chamber music series along with retrospective art exhibits that feature artists Pat Lottie and Carol Fox. Patrons can also expect to see productions led by the West Shore Community College Performing Arts, Manistee Youth Chorus, Conservatory of Dance and the Manistee Civic Players.

“We’re thrilled to provide quality performances throughout the year and engage with community organizations. We will see something new this fall, with the partnership of the newly formed non-profit Shoreline Music Society,” says Executive Director Xavier Verna. “Our fall programs build on an already successful 2018 season that brought exciting performances from May Erlewine to Yooper comedy Escanaba in Da Moonlight, to a sold-out show of The Accidentals. Patrons can expect some fresh new entertainment in 2019 as well.”

The season will close with a roaring 1920s-themed New Year’s Eve party. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at MyNorthTickets.com, by calling 1.800.836.0717 or visiting the Ramsdell during business hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.).
