MONDAY EVENING OLD MISSION PENINSULA BIKE RIDE | Thru September 9

Own a bike? Grab those wheels, a friend or two and some shades and meet up at the Traverse City Central High School parking lot for an evening cycle along the beautiful Old Mission Peninsula. Participants will begin their excursion along East Bay and return along West Bay, enjoying spectacular views at every turn. Whether you’re looking for a workout or a relaxing post-dinner jaunt, rides range from 15 to 40 miles; no muss, no fuss.

LEFT FOOT CHARLEY 15TH ANNIVERSARY | June 7–14

Fifteen years of goodness through fermentation—why not celebrate for a whole week! Left Foot Charley cultivates premium wines and ciders with the help of 18 local growers. Rooted in community and quality, the shop will be featuring special pours, live music and various events throughout the week. 

BLACK STAR FARMS HARVEST DINNER IN THE VINEYARD | June 12

The evening will feature exceptional wine-paired culinary experiences inspired by the best in-season and local ingredients. Dine al fresco in the Suttons Bay estate vineyard with views of Grand Traverse Bay. This month’s menu will pay homage to early summer strawberries and rhubarb. View the menu.

TASTE OF MACKINAC | June 13

Part of the 71st Annual Lilac Festival, this gathering of the top culinary masterpieces Mackinac Island has to offer entices locals and visitors. In addition to Mackinac fare, local wineries and breweries will share their most popular beverages at the event and live entertainment will be provided by the Arden Academy of Dance.

THE VILLAGE AT GRAND TRAVERSE COMMONS FARMERS MARKET | Thru October 28

EXPERIENCE ART RAPIDS! FILM SERIES | June 7–20

In partnership with the historic Elk Rapids Cinema, Experience Art Rapids brings you 14 days of diverse cinematic presentations. The slate of films includes The Stone Circle Documentary, Coach Carter, The Wizard of Oz, Stand Up for the Great Lakes, Singing in the Rain and more. Prepare for a truly vintage evening. PAINTING BETWEEN THE WINES | June 25

Join us in making some “happy mistakes” on canvas with family and friends. Select dinner and drinks from the full 123 Speakeasy menu as you create your own artistic masterpiece under the guidance of local artist Mikayla Lehn in Teetotallers (front of 123 Speakeasy in Traverse City). Northern Michigan Festivals & Fun for All

SUDS & SUN | June 15

Known as “The Ultimate Party in the Sun,” the second annual Suds & Sun festival is bringing all the Northern Michigan staples to Traverse City. More than 18 vendors will be featured at the event including Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, Founder’s Brewing Company,  Oddside Ales, Hop Lot Brewing, Griffin Claw Brewing and many more. For those non-beer drinkers, the event will also feature a plethora of locally sourced ciders and wines. What goes with artisan beverages? BBQ. Sparks BBQ and Wingz & Thingz will be in attendance to curb those cravings.

WINGS OVER NORTHERN MICHIGAN AIRSHOW | June 15–16

Celebrating their 10th anniversary, Wings Over Northern Michigan knows how to put on a good show. From historical WWII aircraft and vehicles to state-of-the-art modern military assets, pyrotechnics and more, marvel at the journey aircraft technology has taken over the last 60 years. PLANET OF THE GRAPES WINE FESTIVAL | June 22

What better way to enjoy a Saturday in June? Indulge in local wines, brews and foods while grooving to live performances. Artists include Soul Patch, Levi Britton and more. Entertainment will also include comedy veteran Norm Stulz, as seen on Comedy Central, HBO and Showtime. Then head over to the Wine Education Room for insightful, fun and interactive wine tasting seminars while learning about wines being produced off the coast of Lake Michigan.
