RENOWNED TRIO FROM AMERICA’S GOT TALENT PLAYS BAY VIEW
On July 20 at 8pm, the Texas Tenors will perform as part of the Bay View Music Festival’s pops series. This 3-time Emmy Award winning band brings their unique take on the “three tenors” concept made popular by Pavarotti, Carreras, and Domingo, mixing country, classical, Broadway and pop music. The concert will take place in Hall Auditorium in Bay View, and as with almost all productions this summer, children under 18 are free with a paid adult.
The classical crossover trio includes country singer JC Fisher, Broadway singer Marcus Collins and opera singer John Hagen. In 2009, the group was a top four finalist in the fourth season of America’s Got Talent! Since then, they have continued their musical career as the most successful musical group in the history of the show, touring in more than 20 countries and giving over 1300 performances. They have released four studio albums, two of which have debuted as #1 on the Billboard Classical Albums Chart. They have also starred in two of their own PBS specials and produced a children’s book, earning them The Gelett Burgess Award for Excellence in Children’s Literature. In 2017, Billboard Magazine named the Texas Tenors as the #10 Classical Crossover Artist in the World. People of all ages can enjoy this talented trio, which also covers music from countless artists.
Bay View Music Festival runs from June 16 through August 11, and features pop, jazz, classical, chamber music, and theatrical productions throughout the summer on the campus just outside of Petoskey.
