EVENT: Hands On Family Activities

Museum Ball Wall to be at Cherry Fest Kid’s Tent: The Great Lakes Children’s Museum’s Ball Wall will be at the National Cherry Festival’s Kids Tent all week. The Ball Wall is a regular fixture at the Kid’s Tent and this year we’ll continue to offer the exhibit to young festival goers.

“It’s Teddy Bear Tea Time at the National Cherry Festival! Calling all kids and teddy bear companions! Bring your favorite bear and blanket for a fun filled afternoon in the park. Enjoy story telling, making a teddy bear craft, and of course an afternoon tea party with other teddy bears and kids. Parents are welcome.”

Weekly Programs taking place at the Great Lakes Children’s Museum –
GLCM offers programs every weekday in the summer months. Here are this week’s programs:
Monday 7/1, 1pm-3pm: Maker Space – Make and create to accomplish a task or objective! Bottle Top Art: Make something marvelous using recycled bottle and jar lids.
Tuesday 7/2, 11am-12pm: Get Crafty – Tuesdays are all about arts and crafts! Star Streamers: Hurray for the Red, White, and Blue! Make a star streamer wand and wave our country’s colors on the 4th of July.
Wednesday 7/3, 11am – 1pm: Summer STEAM – Each day is about one of the parts of S.T.E.A.M. S is for Science! Nanotechnology for Kids: Investigate the smallest science by visiting hands-on Nano Science Stations.
Thursday 7/4: Museum Closed for 4th of July
