Join us to see Joshua Davis, Rachael Davis, and Dominic Davis at the Cheboygan Opera House on June 14th, 2019.

Speaking or singing, the voice of Joshua Davis is a disarming instrument: weathered and warm, as capable of conjuring confessional intimacy on a global stage as it is of making a small room, well off the beaten path, resonate with startling urgency and power. Couple it with an earnest poetic sensibility, a boundless work ethic, and an uncanny gift for connecting with audiences spanning generations, and it’s no wonder that Davis is now poised at the brink of the sort of widespread recognition that typically passes right over such a humble troubadour.

A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Rachael Davis is renown for her expressive–and explosive–voice as she is for uniting the often desperate worlds of folk, blues, country, and pop. Raised in the traditions of The Wheatland Music Festival, she grew up playing in her family band Lake Effect. Now with over a decade career of solo albums and collaborations, the Michigan native has established herself with a poise and confidence on stage–not to mention a song repertoire–that is more associated with veterans with decades of experience.

Born and raised in Southwest Detroit, Dominic Davis is a product of Motown’s rich musical history. Davis attended storied DPS Cass Technical High alongside fellow bass alumni Ron Carter and Paul Chambers where he took up studies in the Upright Bass. He continued his education in arts & music at Michigan State University earning a Bachelor in Fine Arts. Known for his tasteful playing, tone, and deep pocket, he is equal parts Jazz, Hip-Hop, Rock & Roll and Classic Blues. Styles that have all called Detroit home.
