We are currently searching for Night Auditors to join our team at the NEW (currently under construction, scheduled to open July of 2019) Courtyard by Marriott, Petoskey at Victories Square, Petoskey, Michigan. Candidates must possess excellent customer service and produce high guest satisfaction ratings. The Night Auditor position offers a unique opportunity for the right candidates who are seeking to excel in the hotel hospitality industry.  The right candidate must possess a friendly, courteous demeanor to all guests and fellow team members.  Strive to deliver a “wow” factor of hospitality to all guests.  Candidate must be able to work some weekends, holidays, multi-task and deal in a fast paced environment.  We are looking to hire the Night Auditor positions prior to opening date.  This is a non-exempt, full and part time positions available.



Prepares a summary of cash, check and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel’s daily financial totals.  Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts including any additional guest transactions.   Complies and maintains files and resets systems for next day operations/functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Greet, assist and register guests upon arrival into the computer system, verifying reservation information.
  • Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints. Communicate all guests needs to next shift.
  • Verify that all charges (room rates, discounts, etc.) are assigned to the appropriate departments/guest accounts.
  • Prints up and files reservations for the next business day.
  • Prepare daily reports as required by management.
  • Check figures, postings and documents for accuracy.
  • Prepare End of Day procedure.
  • Balance the day’s charges, making any corrections as necessary.
  • Input into the PC revenue, expenses and allowances to generate daily reports.
  • Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities asked by the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager based upon hotel needs.




This hotel operates seven (7) days a week, twenty- four (24) hours per day. All employees both management and hourly must realize this fact and be willing to hold a flexible schedule that includes: nights, weekends and holidays
