Set in Ellsworth, Michigan, along Saint Clair Lake, Tapawingo enchants guests with its beautiful setting. We spoke with owner Gregg McCallum about the restaurant’s latest event series, the Solstice Soiree Dinners, on Thursday nights from 6:30–8:30 p.m. (Menus below!)

How would you describe the atmosphere of the event space?

The definition of “Tapawingo” is place of joy and peace. We have an exceptional, picturesque lakefront venue.

Beautiful! Tell us more.

It’s a tranquil setting with a large triple-tier pergola, and a patio leads the way to a waterfront ceremony space. We experience a golden hour every evening just before the sun goes down. It’s magical. These Solstice Soiree Dinners give us the opportunity to showcase our creativity and all this natural beauty.

Will there be entertainment?

Kadin McCallum playing fingerstyle acoustic guitar is our main live music. Jake Allen Music is always something we are excited about and we are scheduling him for this fall.

And there is artwork, too. Who will be showcased?

Larissa Flynn Art is our on-site live artist painting during the Soiree.

Solstice Soiree Dinner Series
