Sturgeon Viewing Guided Tour

May 16, 2008 01:00 PM until 03:00 PM

Walk the banks of the Upper Black River with a guide as the famed lake sturgeon head up river to spawn. This is a threatened species in Michigan and a rare species throughout the United States. A committed group of volunteers works round the clock during spawning season to protect the fish from poachers. Now, anyone who takes the tour will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of one of these rare fish.
