On Friday, April 18th or Saturday, April 19th, Interlochen students present The New Opera Project in Traverse City. This Northern Michigan music event features students from Interlochen Arts Academy music programs, and the event will take place at Traverse City’s InsideOut Gallery. The New Opera Project is a presentation of original, operatic works composed by IAA students in collaboration with Parallel 45 Theatre Company.

Beginning at 7 pm, hear original chamber music while sipping cocktails in the gallery. At 8 pm, the curtains rise on The New Opera Project, which will feature 3 short original operas. At 9 pm, enjoy the popular music of the students from Interlochen’s singer-songwriter program and mingle with these dynamic young artists.
