National Cherry Festival 2016 is rife with exciting events, and the Great American Picnic promises to be a highlight.
A menu of delicious food awaits, including cherry barbecue pulled pork, beef frankfurters, and of course, fresh cherries. You can bring your food to the edge of West Grand Traverse Bay to enjoy a spectacular airshow from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. There will also be outdoor games and activities for the entire family. To top it off, the afternoon’s soundtrack features live music from the Brett Mitchell Band.
Clear your calendar: The picnic takes place July 3 at the Hagerty Center at Northwestern Michigan College. Food will start serving at 1:15 p.m.
