Ghoulish events are happening all throughout Northern Michigan this Halloween, and they’re not just for kids. We’re talking costume contests, drink specials, live entertainment and lots of dancing.

Bonobo Winery’s Halloween Costume Party

Friday, October 27 from 5–9 p.m.

Costume contests, prizes, live music by The Hacky Turtles, and of course, wine! Happy Hour from 5–7 p.m. with $5 glass pours and 25% off small plates. Come in the best costume and take home a Magnum bottle of Syrah!

Halloween Party at The Little Fleet

Saturday, October 28 from 6:30 p.m.–1 a.m.

Head to The Little Fleet for their 5th Annual Halloween Party. Lots of dancing and a DJ!

9th Annual Traverse City Zombie Run

Saturday, October 27 at 9 a.m.

Zombies + beer. Right Brain Brewery hosts this spooky run. Stick around after the race for the medal ceremony and best costume prizes.

Short’s Annual Halloween Party

Saturday, October 28 at 9 p.m.

Things are getting strange this year at the annual costume party (hint: think hit show on Netflix). Live music by Mega Weedge (Ween tribute band). Strange beers on tap include Run, Chief Hopper, The Upside Down, Bourbon Evil Urges and PUMPKINCRUSHA.

Treetops Halloween Party

Saturday, October 28 from 8:30–11 p.m.

This annual event is held in the Wilderness Cabin at Treetops Project Nature. Be ready for a costume contest with prizes and lots of dancing. Light munchies will be available. There’s a shuttle from the Sports Bar every hour from 8–11 p.m., with the return shuttle running every half hour from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. Cost: $5 per person, $20 per car load, $30 per bus load.

ROCKTOBER – NIGHT OF FRIGHT 

Saturday, October 28 from  6–11 p.m.

This is a night of rock ‘n’ roll and Halloween fun for adults. Enjoy live music broadcast on 94 K-Rock FM and a cash bar complete with local pours from Starving Artist Brewing. Get creative for the costume contest. Tickets are $5 and proceeds support the Ludington Area Center for the Arts Performance Hall.

Odawa Casino’s 11th Annual Halloween Bash

Saturday, October 28 at 8 p.m.

Dress up for a chance to win $500! Prizes awarded for best overall costume, best group costume, scariest and more. $5 cover charge.
